CONCEPT This is a square folded leaflet containing instructions for how my customers should open their lamp base packaging and then make it into a cardboard ... The customer can then make the instruction leaflet itself into an origami ... Once unfolded, one side will have instructions for making the lamp base packaging into a lamp and also for re-folding the leaflet into an origami bird, plus faint dotted (or can be solid) fold line guides for the origami ... The other side, will be a pattern provided by me (this will be the only side that can be seen once the leaflet is made into the origami bird) I've attached a very very rough mockup that I created to show you the ... Note: on the mockup the purple scribbled side actually indicates the side the instructions would be printed on (... they would be hidden once you’ve made the bird) and the white side (where the instructions are currently written) would actually be the patterned back of the instructions, which would form the look of the ... I hope that makes sense?! You also don't have to stick to this grid of quarters to lay out the instructions - you can divide up the page how you like, as long as the sections remain in the same order, as they follow a logical ... For example, you might find that you can create a more dynamic design by using some of the diagonal fold lines as segments for the text, even though the fold lines to make it into the initial square also part of the origami fold ... I'm very open to ... STYLE The style needs to be clear, colourful, beautiful, contemporary - style references ... I've also included an attachment of the tag that sits around my lap base within the ... So the style of this leaflet needs to complement that, but can also be a bit different - more colourful, vibrant and ... COLOURS My peacock lampshade should be the colour guide - possibly without the orange from the tail (although this might be used as a very small highlight). Peacock lamp ...
